WTF Rob Thomas? WTF? I know I’ve sworn my allegiance and love to you for giving me two impressively good seasons of Veronica Mars but WTF?

I still receive google alerts for Veronica Mars. I don’t know why except for that small glimmer of hope that one day the email will say “Veronica Mars movie to start filming” or “Veronica Mars comic to start inking” or even better “Veronica Mars is coming back to the air where it damn well belongs and we’ll find out about the sheriff’s race”. Huzzah! Huzzah! Okay look I get it. Many people don’t like Gossip Girl. It is not smart television BUT it’s so bad that it’s good therefore I can’t help but praise this news….

“The CW’s “Gossip Girl” has become fall’s first new series to get a full-season pickup.

The network has picked up the back-nine episodes of the freshman drama series, bringing its total order to 22 hours.”

YAY! So come on people you’re stuck with it for a full season so you might as well tune it and love to hate it.

Smallville’s third episode of season 7, ‘Fierce’, was anything but. Long time fans of the series by now know not to expect much from the superman tv show that’s heavy on the exposition and light on action. And oh yes, Lana is back with big secrets which means quality nap time again for half of the show. As for Supergirl, I would like a little more mystery and a lot less Miss Sweet Corn pageant sillyness. My plea: Writers and creators please stop talking about it and just let things happen! This is a show I can’t stop watching no matter how much I want to, and I have to hold on for those rare moments like Clark saving a kid and his dad from a raging flood with super heat vision.

I have to say, my fascination with The CW’s Reaper is fading more quickly than i imagined. I love the logo. I love Sam, Sock and Andi, but I don’t love freak-of-the-week storylines. Okay, so far we have a fire villain, an electricity villain and now a bug villain? Hello?? We’ve already seen Smallville Season One. If I see Johnathan Taylor Thomas mutate into twins in next weeks episode, I’m so cancelling my season pass.

I know there are other new Fall shows which demand my attention but I must take this time to defend Gossip Girl. Everyone has lambasted it as the worst show on tv now, a show that sucks all your brain power and the reason terrorist hate America. It is obviously neither (maybe the last one).
