Two Guys, a Girl and a Blog

New on DVD this week are two shows that you’ll want to either netflix out or purchase.

First Up is Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

If you, like me, gave Terminator an episodic try before bailing then  you already think this DVD set is a waste of time.  However the fanatical fanbase compels you to give the show a true shot.  You’d hate to miss something great until its too late. How many people are kicking themselves for not watching Firefly? Also the show was renewed despite the unevenness of the first season.  As we all know FOX isn’t one to give just any show another try especially if its even slightly costly and different.  Therefore give it a go.  Watch all 9 episodes on DVD.  Then watch at least 1-2 episodes of the new season.  If you’re not hooked then it officially deserves cancellation.

Second is Gossip Girl.

Trust me I know it seems like Gossip Girl is The Hills come to life but you’re incredibly wrong. On first glance its a high class Orange Country. Its worth nothing more than mocking and I’ll admit you’re partially right but there is more there. There’s ridiculous, over the top delightful drama in this show. You’ll also find fun,provocative plots and a beautiful city in the background.  Its okay to admit we all have a guilty pleasure and Gossip Girl is more than happy to be yours.  If you want to be ready for the September 5th start date then you’ll take the time to watch this seasonal DVD set.
